"Watching the World"
(C) Allen Pearson, All Rights Reserved
I love dogs, love to be around dogs and dogs love me. So, I have combined my love of dogs with my photography skills to create fine art of …. well…. your dog.

And, yes, I photograph cats too. I was owned by a Maine Coon cat who allowed me to be loved by him. He has taught me the beauty of cats!!

I’ll photograph at the location of your choice in Northern Virginia.

My goal is to provide you with prints and products of your pet that would love to capture but can't because your pet wants to play instead of posing.  Been that, done that and am still doing- that with my dog Noah.

Session:  A session usually lasts 1-2 hours, sometimes more, and they are not rushed. I spend time getting to know your dog so I can bring out their personality in my work.

Occasionally, a session doesn't last as long because the dog likes me and I get some images pretty quick. Should you wish to add humans to the photoshoot, please notify me prior to our scheduled day. A contract must be completed to permit posting of images. Due to this age of technology, session fees are not refundable.

If you are not happy with the final product, I will work with you to correct to your satisfaction.

Locations:  I have an outdoor studio where we can meet.  Also, I will come to your location.

The location(s) must be finalized within one week prior to our session.

Private Gallery:  After the session, I will go through the images and select images that I believe best represent your dog or cat. These will be uploaded to a private gallery for you to select your prints and/or products.  I will email you within two weeks when it is ready with a password.

Proof Book:  A proof book is available for an additional fee. (This may be ordered along with the private gallery but they are one and the same).

CD: If you order a CD, it will include all the images in the private gallery. You will receive a letter granting permission for you to print the images for personal use only.

Black and White Prints: If you are interested in black and white prints or images, please let me know before the session begins.

Legal Stuff:  It is the industry standard that all images taken during a session belong to the photographer. I don’t want to bore you with all the legal stuff, so I simply ask that you do not use the items purchased from me for commercial use.

Model Releases: I require you to sign a model release so you know my intentions for using some of the images taken during the photo shoot.

Prints, Products, etc.:  If you order prints or products through me, I guarantee them to be of the highest quality archival papers. If you purchase a CD of high-resolution images and print them yourself, I cannot guarantee the quality of products.

A price list and product descriptions available will be shared at our photography session. For more information contact me at

Cancellations:  I understand that things come up. Please let me know as soon as you can if you need to reschedule, preferably 3 days notice. Should you have to reschedule, in most cases, your deposit to reserve the date will be applied to the rescheduled date. Last minute notification when I am at your house unloading equipment pretty much forfeits your deposit.
