|"NS Coal Cars Rolling through Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, PA"|

The coal cars of the railroads going through Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania always bring back memories of time spent with my grandmother in West Virginia. I loved her dearly and have missed her since she passed away several years ago. I got interested in watching trains at her house. Also, she and my mother taught me how to be happy enjoying the simplest things. For that, I have been eternally grateful. The love of watching and being fascinated by trains was probably something which came from that.
Usually once a year, I enjoy taking trips to Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark. When it was closed this past year, I didn't get to go and it was like not visiting a dear friend! If you get a chance, and enjoy watching trains, you should visit. My wife and I usually see at least 15 trains in the time we are there.
