Sunday's Thought!

"Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak"

The Coronavirus or COVID19 is the headlines and the top news topic everywhere these days. You can’t escape it. Unless, by chance, you have had your head in the sand or you have been busy about your business these past few weeks and not paying attention to the news, you might be better off for having done so in some ways.

While I respect and never ever mean to be mean or disrespectful to anyone who is ill or disabled, I have to wonder about the chaos which is now running rapidly in the media. It is almost like they have a new toy and want to be the first one to share with you about it. Really? I mean constantly? Is all the chaos really necessary?

As I was reading Facebook this week, I found a friend’s post encouraging which had more truth in it than most of the other content on Facebook. I have to share it with you:
“Still fearful about the coronavirus? That's just a smokescreen to keep you fearful so you can be manipulated by people with evil intent. God has a million different ways to kill your body and one day He will use whichever method He chooses to end your earthly existence. That's guaranteed. Nothing you can do to stop it. What is of utmost importance is what are you going to do about Jesus while you are here? You need to realize that sin is trying to take your forever, but Jesus has made a way for you to avoid that by His sacrifice for your sin, made more than 2000 years ago. And, the real beauty is, it's free! You can't earn it. You can't buy it. All you can do is believe and receive it. He could not have made it any simpler for you. Don't put it off. You're not guaranteed your next breath. 6850 Americans that died today now know the truth. It's too late for them to change, but you're still here. You still have time. For the moment.”
Finding God’s Love in these chaotic times is the best choice. He will give you peace that passes all understanding! He will be there for you in times of fear and anxiety like you cannot even imagine! For me, thinking the God of the Universe cares enough about me to put His Arms of Love and Comfort around me is incredibly amazing. Please do not wait. Our lives are truly a fleeting moment and will end one day possibly without any warning.

Becoming a Christian is easy. Not hard, challenging, or difficult as it might seem or possibly been told to you. God makes His Plan of Salvation available to anyone who asks. If you would like to accept Christ's awesome gift to us, the Gift of Salvation- eternal life, please read and pray through the following-

Admit that you are a sinner, just like everyone else born into this world until we confess to Jesus Christ and ask His forgiveness:

"(23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (24) and are justified
by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
- Romans 3:23-24, ESV

"(23) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 6:23, ESV

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ:

(16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him
should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16, ESV

Confess your sins in a prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ:

(9) "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. "
- Romans 10:9, ESV

(13) "For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'”
- Romans 10:13, ESV

"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life.
I believe You died and rose from the grave to make me a new creation
and to prepare me to dwell in your presence forever.
Jesus, come into my life and take control,
forgive my sins and save me. I place my trust in You alone
for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life."
