Sunday's Thought!

John 11:25-26

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the
resurrection and the life; he
who believes in Me will live
even if he dies, and
everyone who lives and
believes in Me will never die.
Do you believe this?"

- John 11:25-26

My question is, do you believe this? If not, why not? What is stopping you from believing or becoming a Christian?

In the world today are plenty of distractions to keep people away from the church. Here lately, I've seen and heard quite a few stories from the media and television shows which make fun of Christian, Jesus, God, and the Bible. It's caught me by surprise because Christianity used to be a subject that was respected and now a target of jokes or ridicule.

Think about this, we do so many things in this life because it's our responsibility to do so or the results could be disastrous. Recently, I had my yearly physical. I get the results and respond as needed. If I didn't, I could have some serious problems in the long run. Not to mention, it is just "good for me." The list of things we do because it is better for us to do so could go on for a bit.

My question is, why not do something for your soul, your spirit? Rather than believing what you hear from the media or the world and leaving it all up to whatever happens happens, why not learn more about Jesus, God, and Christianity for yourself? After all, in the long run when death finally does happen, you will no longer have the decision to make. It will be a done deal and what you've decided is where you will spend eternity. I'm sure I would NOT want the media or anyone else to make such a decision for me.

One of the best resources I have found to learn about God, Jesus, and God's Plan of Salvation for man is this website, Peace with God
