|"The Art of Tree, Shenandoah National Park, Tree on Rocks"|
(C) Allen Pearson Photography
When I first started photographing around 2003 or 2004, my interest or fascination with it was nature. I loved capturing the beauty of nature, especially that which most people miss because they are in a hurry or are just not paying attention.
Another aspect of nature that I love to photograph are trees. I love capturing the silhouette of trees against the sky or maybe a mountain or other natural background. The trees grow up into the sky and into many different directions with the branches reaching out here and there.
Often, as I am walking through the woods by trees or even in my neighborhood where there are a lot of old trees, I like to think about the history these trees have seen. Where they just young trees when the First and Second Battles of Bull Run (Manassas) raged through the countryside? What history have they seen? If they could think like that and share their thoughts, wouldn't it be interesting?
