|"Norfolk Southern Rock Train in Manassas, VA"|
(C) Allen Pearson Photography
Every once in awhile, when I am in the Manassas area, I like to look for trains. Usually, there are not many freight trains which go through Manassas since the Virginia Railway Express began operating.
However, during the middle of the day, after the commuter train has gone through, the rock train will begin its runs. A bit that I learned about the Rock Train is that keeps several dump trucks off the highways in the Northern Virginia-Washington D.C. area for which thousands of commuters are probably very thankful!
