Garden Perspectives! Blue Sea Holly

"Blue Sea Holly"
(C) Allen Pearson Photography

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to California. One of the stops we made was at the Getty Center Gardens. I thought was in heaven. Incredibly beautiful and awesome ideas that I could use in my garden at home.

When I returned to Virginia from California, I began looking for the flower in the local garden centers and had quite a bit of success. I planted a few in my gardens over the years. The beauty about this flower is the blue hue it has. When you plant several of them, in a mass planting, it really shares the blue hue.

By the way, my photography work can be viewed at While I do not have an e-commerce website these days, purchases can be made by contacting me by email at  My work is available in traditional matte archival paper, metal, canvas, posters, and notecards. If you see an image you love and would like it on a coffee mug or other type of products, please inquire.
