Railroad Photography! "Rounding the Harper's Ferry Curve, WV"

"'Rounding the Harper's Ferry Curve, WV"
(C) Allen Pearson
Harper's Ferry, WV is an awesome place to sit and watch trains. That is if you have the patience to sit and wait since CSX uses radio transmissions to dispatch trains and to communicate between the trains and dispatchers. In the mountains, sometimes it's difficult to receive these transmissions. The last time I went to Harper's Ferry, I sat in the car and read a book while waiting for a train. Also, there is a park with a walking path which allows you to get great views of the train going over the bridge and coming through the park.

My dog Noah and I were walking one of the paths when a rock train came through. We were able to watch it from the path. Next time, we are going to take the bridge across the river and see what's on the other side of the mountain.
