One morning my buddy and I took a long walk down the beach and back, probably close to walking a mile. A few areas along the beach where the tide comes in became a bit difficult to walk through but my stubborn determination was going to enjoy it. Which I did.
However, about the time the walking became difficult, my friend put his arm out for me to grab and prevent falling. Not a bit unusual for my friend to show polite kindness. I didn't have to ask or tell him what I needed or might need. He did his thing and we went on. As we walked he pointed out many places coming up which might be a problem or a challenge.
As we walked, I couldn't help but realize this is how our relationship with God is. While life may take us through difficult walking or loss of loved ones or many other tragedies, God is there to reach His Arm to help us through these events. He will reach down when we least expect it too. He will see us through the issues.
However, God wants you to ask Him into your life and develop a relationship with Him. He doesn't butt into life and take control nor is He an "on demand" button pushed when wanted or coming into your life to take help when He's needed. He wants to be part of your life, like my friend is part of mine, and to be there for you beyond your comprehension.
While this doesn't prevent you from going through life's challenges, and you might even go through more or hard events, God will be there with you which will make it incredibly easier, beyond your imagination, to get through.
Becoming a Christian following Christ is as simple as stated in Romans 10:9:
